My name is Joseph Brodie and I am the Health teacher at Belleville High School. I received my degree from Central Michigan University in 2003 and am currently in my 11th year of teaching (8 at BHS). During my 8 years at BHS, I have taught a variety of subjects ranging from Physical Education, Computer Literature, and E2020, but for the past 4 years have found my home as a teacher in the Health Department. Health and physical education are my passions and I enjoy sharing and teaching the valuable, lifelong information that these subjects provide. The information that is covered in these subjects truly is something that can be used throughout one's lifetime.
Outside of the classroom I coach the Varsity girls track program, the Varsity boys tennis program, and the Varsity girls basketball program. Extra curricular activities of any kind are a great extension of the classroom and can provide as much of a learning experience as in the classroom activities. I encourage all students to become involved in not only sports, but any of the many things that our school provides.
When not in the classroom, in the gym, on the court, or on the track, I spend the little time that I have leftover with my wife and 2 sons.
I look forward to another great year at BHS!
